BAIC Brand Officially Launches in Panama, Opening a New Chapter in Central America
On the evening of August 27, 2026, BAIC officially held its brand launch event at the Panama International Convention Center. The event was jointly organized by BAIC INTL's Central and South America Region and local authorized dealers, marking a solid and critical step forward in the brand's strategic deployment in the Central American market.

Rooted in Panama Reaching Across Central America

This event was not only a grand brand showcase but also achieved three key milestones: the public debut of new models, the official opening of the first brand showroom, and the official presentation of the dealer authorization certificate.
As a strategic hub for transportation, finance, and information in Central America, Panama served as the focal point for a "single-point launch, regional amplification" strategy. Partners and prospective dealers from neighboring markets were invited to attend, effectively turning the event into a regional investment promotion conference. Nearly 500 guests attended, alongside 115 media representatives and content creators, setting a new record for scale and influence in the region.
Model Lineup Covering All User Scenarios

Three models were launched at the event—the BAIC X55, BAIC B30e, and BAIC B40PROe—spanning conventional fuel and hybrid SUVs to fully cater to mainstream vehicle demand in Panama and the surrounding markets.
Multi‑Stakeholder Synergy

The event gathered high-profile guests across sectors: His excellence Zhang Xiangyan, the Chinese Ambassador in Panama attended, providing top‑level diplomatic support for bilateral trade. Delegates from dealers and partners in Nicaragua, Ecuador and other neighbouring markets were present, underscoring the brand’s regional appeal. Senior executives from leading local banks, industry associations and insurance companies also attended, building a solid foundation for future financial and industry cooperation.
Integrated Marketing

Pre‑launch teasers via creator gift boxes; launch‑day blanket coverage by 75 creators and 25 mainstream media outlets; and sustained post‑launch in‑depth reviews. Dozens of renowned newspapers, TV stations, radio networks and auto media—including La Prensa, TVN and Revista Autopista—covered the event.

With Panama as the strategic benchmark, the success model will be replicated in neighbouring countries, enabling deeper and broader market penetration across Central America and beyond.
