
2025 International Automotive & Supply Chain Expo (Hong Kong) Kicks Off: BAIC Group Showcases New Heights of Chinese Intelligent Manufacturing

On June 12, the 2025 International Automotive & Supply Chain Expo (Hong Kong), themed “New Car·New Journey,” officially opened at the AsiaWorld-Expo. Jointly organized by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, the Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Association, China Peaceful Development General Summit of Hongkong Macao Taiwan Diaspora Company Limited (HK), the Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong, and Phoenix TV, this year’s event is the largest and most comprehensive auto show ever held in Hong Kong. It also features the highest level of participation from Chinese mainland auto enterprises.

As a key force in China’s automotive industry and a benchmark for advanced manufacturing and new productive forces in the capital, BAIC Group is participating through BAIC International and BAIC Foton, bringing a lineup of cutting-edge products and innovations from four self-owned passenger and commercial vehicle brands. The exhibit highlights the latest achievements in China’s intelligent and connected new energy vehicle sector, presenting them on a world-class stage. At the opening ceremony, Lee Ka Chiu John, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong SAR, attended and delivered a keynote speech. Senior officials from Chinese mainland automotive regulatory authorities and relevant departments of the Hong Kong SAR Government also joined the event, making it a grand gathering of industry and policy leaders.
BAIC Passenger and Commercial Vehicles Make Their International Joint Debut: New Generation of Self-Developed Technologies Unveiled

At the BAIC Group booth themed “Intelligence in Motion·Future in Vision,” the Group’s self-owned passenger vehicle and commercial vehicle brands made a joint appearance at an international auto show for the first time. In response to the global demand for green mobility and varying infrastructure conditions across regions, BAIC International brought a comprehensive BEV + REEV + ICE product matrix to the expo. The five featured passenger models include the right-hand-drive versions of the BAIC Off-road BJ40 PLUS and the X55, as well as the ARCFOX αS5, ARCFOX αT5, and the extended-range STELATO S9, effectively addressing the needs of right-hand-drive markets and regions.

The BJ40 PLUS and X55 right-hand-drive versions have already been launched in markets such as Indonesia and Malaysia, where they have earned widespread consumer recognition. With its standout design, powerful performance, and optimized dimensions, the right-hand-drive X55 is turning heads among overseas buyers. Meanwhile, the BJ40 PLUS delivers an exciting, rugged driving experience tailored to off-road enthusiasts.

The ARCFOX αS5, equipped with ultra-fast charging capabilities and high-performance features, has drawn significant attention from on-site dealers and consumers alike. The ARCFOX αT5 impresses with its advanced flash-charging technology and intelligent, spacious cabin, offering users a new level of comfortable and connected driving. With the completion of a dual-power strategy integrating extended-range and pure electric systems, the STELATO S9 now forms a more complete product portfolio, setting a new benchmark for intelligent luxury sedans in the era of new energy.
As China’s top commercial vehicle brand, BAIC Foton presented 3 major products at the show: the eView, an electric light passenger van; the electric school bus; and the Auman Galaxy 9 heavy-duty truck.



In addition, BAIC Group also showcased its latest self-developed core technologies, including a new-generation highly integrated battery cell, coaxial electric drive assembly, dedicated hybrid transmission, the world’s first AI cockpit-driver integrated platform, and the “Polaris” all-digital premium EV platform, all of which highlight BAIC’s innovation in intelligent and new energy vehicle technologies.
Accelerating Global Expansion: BAIC’s Presence in Over 130 Countries and Regions

In recent years, BAIC Group has been accelerating its global expansion with a comprehensive strategy that includes building an overseas business system, establishing global R&D and design centers, acquiring international parts suppliers, integrating into Daimler’s global supply chain, launching complete vehicle exports through Beijing Hyundai, and operating manufacturing base in South Africa.
