A GREAT ACHIEVEMENT! BAIC ORV TEAM WON THE SECOND PLACE IN THE ADDC AND RANKS TOP3 IN THE 2023 W2RC

On March 3rd, the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge (ADDC) of the 2023 FIA World Rally-Raid Championship (W2RC) came to a perfect end. In the last stage of the day (SS5), No.209 Guoyu Zhang/Oriol Mena of the BAIC ORV Team won the 7th place, and No.210 Yunliang Zi/He Sha finished in the 8th place. BAIC ORV Team, as the only manufacturer team of China, won the second place among the manufacturer teams in ADDC with 32 points from the excellent performance of the two drivers, rising from the fourth to the third place in the 2023 W2RC overall scoreboard among the manufacturer teams!

Our drivers pushed their best till the last kilometer!

SS5 stage is from Qasr Al Sarab to Abu Dhabi, with special stage of 206 km, and a total length of 370 km, mainly consists of 44% sand, 48% sand dunes. In the last stage, every driver pushed their best till the last kilometer. For No.209 Guoyu Zhang, the challenge was even tougher. Although the race was not smooth sailing, Zhang still managed to finish seventh in the T1 group.

No.210 Yunliang Zi/He Sha of BAIC ORV Team finished in the 8th place in T1 group. Yunliang Zi won 4 points with his steady performance in ADDC, and this was Yunliang Zi's first time to win points in the W2RC.
