BAIC GROUP WON 7 AWARDS IN THE NINTH PARTICIPATION FOR CEVR

On July 24th, the 9^th China EV Rally Qinghai Lake (CEVR), known as the “Oscars of the electric vehicle industry”, was officially concluded. With ARCFOX αS, BAIC Group won 7 awards, including the Best Surface Design Award, Best Technology Configuration Award, Best Controllability Award, Best Wading Award, “Most-favored EV model by the celebrities” Award, Best Endurance Award, and “Most-favored” Intelligent Luxury Pure Electric Sedan Award, by its strong performance, stylish design and intelligent configuration. With excellent performance and a perfect service guarantee, Foton AUV has completed the task of a race service guarantee. BAIC Group participated in the event for nine consecutive years, and again this year, the products became widely known; it showed its profound strength in the field of new energy vehicles.

ARCFOX αS first showcase

This year’s CEVR not only focused on testing the range and power-saving ability of the participating vehicles but also put forward higher requirements for the overall performance of the vehicles, such as safety and stability. BAIC Group ARCFOX αS officially challenged the CEVR for the first time, sending two models, αS 603H and αS 708S+, to compete. 

The highest altitude of the Tour de Lake range event is 3500 meters, covering a variety of terrain environments such as flat roads, hills and mountains. Facing the plateau's low temperature and complex terrain, ARCFOX αS 708S+ finally finished the race with a mileage of 775.9km and a range retention rate of nearly 109.6%. The ARCFOX αS won first place among all participating pure electric models in terms of range, demonstrating its strength in battery density, drive system and thermal management system, etc. 

The ARCFOX αS 603H performed well in the evaluation and short-track course racing sessions. The front and rear permanent magnet synchronous motors crowned the field with a maximum power output of 320kW and a total torque of 720N-m. It accelerates to 100km in 4.2s and shoots out like an arrow when the throttle is pressed. Facing the challenging track, ARCFOX αS cornered cleanly and accelerated rapidly, which was ahead of many competitors with its strong power and handling advantages and easily passed the 40cm deep water section, showing its superior water wading performance.

It is worth mentioning that this year’s subjective evaluation session formally included the “intelligent technology challenge” in the technology configuration evaluation project indicators. The 20.3-inch 4K high-definition central control entertainment screen is clear and smooth, and the cell phone connectivity mapping, car networking, OTA upgrades, and voice recognition control system are all impressive ...... ARCFOX αS comprehensive leading technology configuration completely convinced the judges.
